SOAR 8 / Growth Opportunities 5 (GO-5)
SOAR (Skills and Opportunities for Achievement & Responsibility) is a comprehensive workforce development and reentry program designed to help formerly incarcerated young adults successfully transition back into their communities and reduce the likelihood of recidivism. The program addresses the complex barriers participants may face after involvement with the justice system, including education, employment, career development, and other challenges that can impact long-term stability.
Using the evidence-based Integrated Re-entry and Employment Strategies (IRES) model, SOAR takes a comprehensive approach to helping participants establish a sustainable career path. Through individualized support, workforce preparation, employment services, and connections to community resources, participants are equipped with the skills and opportunities needed to achieve greater stability, build productive futures, and avoid future involvement with the justice system.

WIOA
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a federal workforce development program designed to help individuals gain the education, skills, training, and work experience needed to succeed in today’s job market. OIC of Wilson provides WIOA services that connect eligible participants with career pathways and opportunities that lead to meaningful employment and greater economic stability.
Through WIOA, participants may receive individualized career guidance, workforce preparation, occupational skills training, work-based learning opportunities, supportive services, and assistance with obtaining industry-recognized credentials. The program also works to connect participants with local employers and high-demand career opportunities, helping bridge the gap between workforce training and employment.

STEMLinx
STEMLinx is a youth-focused workforce development program designed to introduce young people to the opportunities available in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The program helps participants explore career possibilities, develop practical skills, and understand how education and training can connect to high-demand careers and emerging industries.
Through hands-on learning, career exploration, educational activities, and exposure to STEM-related fields, STEMLinx encourages participants to develop critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and other skills that are valuable in the modern workforce. The program helps young people see themselves as future professionals and prepares them to pursue continued education, industry credentials, and career opportunities in STEM-related fields.

Health Services / ITTS
ITTS is a community health and wellness program focused on increasing access to STD/STI testing, education, prevention, and treatment resources. The program works to promote greater awareness of sexual health while helping individuals make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
Through testing services, health education, prevention efforts, and connections to appropriate medical and community resources, ITTS helps reduce barriers to care and encourages individuals to take proactive steps toward protecting their health. The program also supports broader community wellness by promoting early detection, responsible health practices, and access to resources that can help prevent the spread of sexually transmitted infections.
